PURPOSE: To easily perform the immobilization of a single-stranded DNA by modifying a double-stranded DNA composed of a single-stranded DNA and a complementary strand of the single-stranded DNA in such a manner as to take a prescribed form by the single-stranded DNA and bonding the DNA to a supporting member. ;CONSTITUTION: A treated single-stranded DNA (A) is produced by including one or more excess nucleotides to a terminal of a single-stranded DNA compared with its complementary strand or by chemically modifying the terminal nucleotide of the single-stranded DNA to be immobilized. A double-stranded DNA consisting of the component A and a complementary strand of the single- stranded DNA is bonded to a supporting member through the excess nucleotides or the chemically modified nucleotide in the component A to prepare a single- stranded DNA immobilized on a gel, etc.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
