MANUFACTURE OF SUBCUTANEOUS IMPLANTATION ELECTRODE AND IMPLANTATION ELECTRODE LEAD

PURPOSE: To almost unnecessitate the time and labor required for a back-filling work binding tubes constituting a subcutaneous implantation electrode. ;CONSTITUTION: A long and narrow conductive electrode coil 10 is fitted and mounted on the outer periphery of a short plastic tube 14 fitted into the outside of a long and narrow insulating tube 12 with flexible plastic which has a larger outside diameter than the inside diameter. A mandrel 44 to be a canter shaft is inserted into the insulating tube 12, both of the tubes 12, 14 are expanded, the mandrel 44 is made press-contact with the inner peripheral surface of an electrode coil 10, the whole is heated and the outer peripheral part of the plastic tube 14 is swallen out to each of windings of the electrode coil 10. A dimension projecting between the windings is determined for about 1/3 to 1/2 of the wire diameter of the electrode coil 10.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO
