VECTOR DNA AND SEARCHING FOR PROMOTER

摘要

PURPOSE: To obtain a new vector DNA useful in searching for promoters of higher animals. ;CONSTITUTION: A vector DNA, e.g. vector DNA (pPK37, 86kbp) containing (A) a marker gene, expressible in higher animal cells and accompanied with a promoter, (B) a coloring marker gene (or a gene prepared by linking growth marker structural genes in series to the coloring marker gene) which is a kind different from the marker gene (A) and expressible in the higher animal cells without being accompanied with the promoter, (C) a marker gene, expressible in Escherichia coli and accompanied with a promoter and (D) a replication starting region of the Escherichia coli. The aforementioned vector DNA is obtained by integrating the genes (A) to (C) and the region (D) into a vector such as a plasmid, carrying out cloning and sorting out of the resultant vector DNA using expression of the gene (C) as an index.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
