PURPOSE:To provide a holding device for a bent shank tap which performs extremely easy and rapid exchange of bent shank tap. CONSTITUTION:A door body 53 to which a regulating member 14 is supported and which has the inside rotatably supporting a regulating member positioned facing the end surface of an induction part 12 is openably hinged to an opening part 52 formed in front of the end surface of the induction part 12 for containing a bent part 23 of a cover body 5. When the opening part 52 is closed, the regulating member 14 closes the open part at the end surface of the induction part 12 to regulate movement in the direction of the base end of a bent shank tap 2. When the opening part 52 is opened, the open part at the end surface of the induction part 12 is exposed.
