HOLDING DEVICE FOR BENT SHANK TAP IN TAPPING MACHINE

PURPOSE: To facilitate the automation of opening/closing including maintenance and repair by constituting a door body for supporting a regulating member rotatably in a device for holding a bent shank tap for tapping nut material, in such a way as to move within its own plane to open/close an opening part. ;CONSTITUTION: A holding device holds a bent shank tap 4 in an automatic tapping machine using the bent shank tap 4 for tapping nut material. This holding device is provided with a cylinder part 11 for inserting the shank part 6 of the bent shank tap 4 through, a guiding part 12 for accommodating a bent part 7, and a regulating part 13 for regulating the movement of the bent shank tap 4 in the base end direction. In this constitution, the cylinder rod 33 of a fluid pressure cylinder 32 is extended to perform tapping work in the state of an opening part 16 being closed by a door body 17. At the changing time or the like of the bent shank tap 4, the cylinder rod 33 is extended to slide the door body 17 upward so as to expose the opening part 16.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
