ESCALATOR DEVICE AND FOOTSTEP FOR ESCALATOR

PURPOSE: To provide an escalator device wherein a large wheelchair and handcart can be easily transported without changing set up dimension in the past by providing a lift mechanism, which lifts footboards of two adjacent footsteps to a footboard of a footstep adjacent in an upper side, built in the footsteps. ;CONSTITUTION: In an escalator device formed so as to ensure a wheelchair mounting surface by lifting a footbard of a footstep, a lift mechanism for lifting footboards 8F, 9F of two adjacent footsteps 8, 9 to a footboard 7F of a footstep 7 adjacent in an upper side is built in the footsteps 8, 9. This lift mechanism is constituted of guide rails 12A, 12B, front wheel 11A, rear wheel 11B, bases 12, 13, parallel links 14, 15, rack mechanism, etc. As a result, the escalator device, in which a large wheelchair and handcart can be easily transported without changing conventional set up dimension, can be obtained.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
