PURPOSE: To obtain both a method for treating exhaust gas containing methyl bromide which is easy in operation and capable of being utilized not only as a large-sized equipment for treatment of large amount but also as a miniature equipment for treatment of small amount and a catalyst for decomposing methyl bromide used therefor. ;CONSTITUTION: A catalyst for decomposing methyl bromide is obtained by incorporating a catalyst molding which is formed of θ-alumina or formed by carrying transition metal on θ-alumina.
