METHOD FOR DIGITALLY MODULATING DMD DEVICE, AND DIGITAL MODULATION TYPE DMD DEVICE

PURPOSE: To digitally modulate a DMD device by providing N pieces of shift registers for receiving at least one data stream of data provided with the resolution of N bits from an input device and mirror devices(DMDs) addressed by the shift registers, combining the DMDs and forming one picture element of an image. ;CONSTITUTION: At least one data stream of the data provided with the resolution of N bits is received for the respective picture elements from the input device 30 and the data stream is inputted to the N pieces of input shift registers 32. Then, the at least N pieces of weighted DMDs 36 are addressed by using the shift registers 32, one picture element of the image is formed by combining the output of the DMDs 36 and the DMDs 36 are operated based on the data stream. The operated respective DMDs 36 are individually turned OFF, the respective DMDs 36 are kept ON during a period equal to a value for which weight to the DMD is multiplied to scanning line time and the weight of the time is applied.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO
