PURPOSE: To improve the value of Q by providing the (n)-layered multiple structure of two or more layers for a coil, and decreasing the resistance to a large extent. ;CONSTITUTION: In a thin-film inductor having a mutilayer coil, which is formed by a film forming technology on an insulating substrate 2, a current flows in the sequence from a lower coil 12a to an upper coil 14a, from the upper coil 14a to a lower coil 13a and in the order of 13a→15a→12b→14b→13b→15 b→12c→14c→13c→15c→ a terminal. As a result, a magnetic core 8 is magnetized in the direction of an arrow 100. The respective coils are effectively operated as exciting conductors. When the double-layered multiple coil structure is provided, the width of the coil can be approximately doubled from the conventional coil as the same 6-turn coil.
