POWER MANAGEMENT SYSTEM WHICH DYNAMICALLY AND AUTOMATICALLY SET COUNTER VALUE IN SYSTEM EVENT MONITOR TIMER

PURPOSE:To increase electric power saving effect by setting the counter value, which is proportional to a past system event generation interval time, in the system event timer. CONSTITUTION:This system consists of the system event counting timer 1 wherein a variable counter value is settable and decreased by one at constant intervals of time, a monitor circuit 2, a register A3 stored with the counter value which is set in the system event timer last time, a register B4 stored with a value corresponding to a last system event generation interval time, and a register C5. The value obtained by subtracting the current counter value of the system event timer from the value in the register A3 is set in the register B4. Further, the value obtained by adding the value in the register A3 to the value obtained by subtracting the value in the register C5 from the value in the register B4 is stored in the register A3, and the value in the register A3 is set in the system event timer 1.
