Address conversion method and apparatus for providing large-scale virtual address space

PURPOSE: To use a large scale logical address as a large scale real address(LRA) when a dynamic address translation(DAT) is off by converting the large scale logical address as large scale virtual addresses(LVAs) when DAT is on. CONSTITUTION: Each LVA is separated into three connected parts. A first part is a highest order part (ADEN) for fitting an index to an access directory(AD) for specifying and entry(ADE) for specifying one access list(AL). A second part is an intermediate part (ALEN) for fitting an index to AL selected for accessing to an entry enabling the specification of a related conventional type address translation table expressing the virtual address space of a conventional type size. A third part is a low order AT VA part with the same size as the conventional type virtual address.
