Virtual machine control method - successively converting virtual address in 3rd plane to virtual address in 1st or real plane followed by conversion to absolute address
Virtual machine control method - successively converting virtual address in 3rd plane to virtual address in 1st or real plane followed by conversion to absolute address
The method of converting an address generated in a number of virtual machines involves configuring a virtual machine of a second plane under the control of the operating system in a first plane, i.e. a real machine. A virtual machine in a third plane is configured under the control of an operating system running in the virtual machine in the second plane. A virtual address generated in the third plane machine is converted into a virtual address in the second plane machine. This is converted into a virtual address in the first plane and then into an absolute address. USE/ADVANTAGE - In computer system with virtual memory. Overall efficiency is improved by performing three-stage address conversion without generating shadow conversion table.
