TOTALIZING DEVICE AND IC CARD HAVING TOTALIZING FUNCTION

PURPOSE:To obtain a totalizing device which is enable to perform the totalizing processing with high efficiency even in such a system that is applied to an IC card, etc., having the limited memory capacity. CONSTITUTION:Plural records R1-R6 are defines to an EEPROM 25 of an IC card, etc., and a condition part and a data part are defined to each record. The prescribed conditions A1-A6 are written in the condition part of each record, and the prescribed totalization values X1-X6 are written in the data part of each record. The totalization subject data 11 received from a reader/ writer device 10 and given to a CPU 22 via an I/O device 21. The CPU 22 reads successively the records (e.g. R1, etc.,) out of the EEPROM 25. Then Y1 is added to the value X1 of the record R1 and the result of this addition is written as the new X1 when a code B1 of the data 11 is accordant with the condition A1 of the read-out record.
