PURPOSE:To obtain the process for production of the double layered hot rolled steel plate with the ferritic stainless steel on the front surface having extremely high corrosion resistance and workability. CONSTITUTION:This process for production of the double layered hot rolled steel plate with the ferritic stainless steel on the front surface having the extremely high corrosion resistance and workability consists in hot rolling, at =890 deg.C finish temp., the slab which consists of the surface layer part constituted of the ferritic stainless steel and the inside layer part constituted of the steel contg., by weight %, 0.0002 to 0.0200% C, 0.0005 to 0.0200% N, and Si, P, Al so as to satisfy formula 25=80XP(%)+7XSi(%)+20XAl(%) and further contg. one or two kinds of Ti and Nb S() as to satisfy formula 8.0=Ti(%)/[4XC (%)+3.4XN(%)]+Nb (%)/[7.7XC(%)] =0.4 and consisting of the balance iron and unavoidable impurities and which is adjusted in the ratio of the above- mentioned front layer part to the total plate thickness to =2% and =30% on one side.
