AUTOMATIC OUTPUT CALIBRATING DEVICE FOR PAINT FILM THICKNESS DETECTING SENSOR

PURPOSE: To calibrate a sensor with constant pressing force, prevent a measurement error, and shorten the working time by pressing the sensor to a reference thickness sample, displaying and storing the detection result, and adjusting and calibrating the sensor based on it. ;CONSTITUTION: A sample holding table 15 is erected under the control of a control device 18 before an inspection object is detected, and a travel bogie 3 is advanced by a bogie drive motor 5 while the shift distance is measured by the first encoder 6. The travel is stopped when paint film thickness detecting sensor 13 reaches above a reference film thickness sample on the table 15, a lift pedestal 9 is lowered by a screw jack 10 while the descent distance is measured by the second encoder 6, and the sensor 13 is pressed to the sample. Pressing forces of the sensor 13 to two reference film thickness samples are detected in numerals and stored in a display memory device 19. Adjustment is made based on two output values until the device 19 is properly calibrated, the device 19 is calibrated based on the memory and display values, and the calibration with constant pressing force can be performed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
