KNOWLEDGE CONTENT EXPLAINING METHOD FOR EXPERT SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To easily and systematically explain entire expert knowledge stored in an expert system and further to simply and efficiently construct an explaining function. CONSTITUTION:A knowledge content explaining function 110 is added to an expert system 106 equipped with a knowledge base 105 and an inference mechanism 104 so as to successively and hierarchically explain the knowledge contents from the high-order conception to the low-order conception. At the knowledge content explaining function 110, the explanation of the knowledge at each hierarchy is prepared by a simplified command to display graphics or texts, etc. The knowledge content explaining function 110 hierarchically explains the knowledge contents with respect to an explanation request from a user.
