DEVICE AND METHOD FOR MEASURING CHARACTERISTIC OF GROUND IN FRONT OF WORKING FACE

PURPOSE:To enable the economic shield execution at high accuracy by providing a mud delivery and discharge type drilling device and a measuring pipe having an in-hole load testing device, at the center of a cutter head or plural positions of a shield excavator. CONSTITUTION:A sheath pipe is horizontally located at the center of a shield excavator, and a mud delivery and discharge pipe seving as a driving shaft 3 is inserted to an outer pipe 2 of the sheath pipe till it arrives at the tip of the outer pipe 2. At this stage, the mud delivery and discharge pipe working also as a driving shaft 3 consists of a mud delivery pipe 4 and a mud discharge pipe. A loading plate 7 in a shape according to holes 6, which are formed in the longitudinal direction of the outer pipe 2 with a constant space, is located in the hole 6 and a loading jack 8 is located inside thereof. The loading plate 7 is moved by the jack 8 freely in the radial direction of the outer pipe 2 to perform the in-hole loading test. Furthermore a measuring pipe 1 is pushed to the front of the excavator, and the mud water is jetted from the tip of the driving shaft 3, while a cutter 10 is rotated to drill the ground in front of the working face.
