PURPOSE: To improve the reliability by connecting quantum interference elements in cascade and giving a bias current to elements of 2nd and succeeding states while being corresponding to the transition to a definite voltage state. ;CONSTITUTION: When transiting to a definite voltage state, Josephson junction elements J1-J5 output a voltage corresponding to a gap voltage. Thus, a bias current fed to a quantum interference element Si corresponding to the element Ji depends definitely on a resistance of a resistor Ri2. Since the element Si has only a single input line and a sufficient operating margin is ensured, it is not required to synchronize an input current with the transition caused sequentially from the 1st stage to the final stage and a sufficient time margin for the transition progressed sequentially is obtained.
