METHOD FOR EXPELLING WEEK IN GOLF COURSE WITH ACETIC ACIDS

PURPOSE: To simply and effectively expel weeds growing in lawn of golf course by common application operation without using an agricultural chemical such as a herbicide harmful to environments and human body and without depending upon weeding with hand. ;CONSTITUTION: An acetic acid or the like is brought into contact with weeds growing in a golf course, such as curried yellow wood sorrel, Hydrocotyle sibthorpioides Lam. or Erigeron philadelphicus. L. to expel the weeds. Since sufficiently herbicidal effects are obtained by the common application operation same as the herbicide aplication without using a herbicide by this method, the method neither has bad effects on environmental pollution and workers nor requires attachment of protecting mask, gloves, clothes, etc., and application operation can be lightened. Since the acetic acid has no toxicity, the amount of acetic acid applied can be freely controlled according to the state of growing of weed. Acetic acid treated as a chemical agent is not necessarily required as the acetic acid, even readily and inexpensively obtainable edible vinegar provides sufficiently herbicidal effects.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
