摘要

PURPOSE: To stabilize the higher harmonic waves emitted from the optical wavelength conversion element for which a nonlinear optical effect is used. ;CONSTITUTION: Ni-Cr is deposited by evaporation on an optical waveguide 2 of the optical wavelength conversion element constituted by forming polarization inversion layers 3 and the optical waveguide 2 on an LiNbO3 substrate 1, by which a thin-film heater 15 is formed. The temp. of the above-mentioned optical wavelength conversion element is controlled by passing a current to the thin-film heater 15, thereby heating the element. Then, the stable operation can be made by changing the temp. of the optical wavelength conversion element even if the environmental temp. changes and the wavelength of a semiconductor laser varies.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
