PURPOSE: To automatically keep a processed food or the like in hot insulation or cold insulation state by applying the constitution where the heating and cooling division operation section of a catering case selectively actuates the heating and cooling switches of a receiving box, when the catering case is mounted in the receiving box, and a heating or cooling device built into the box is thereby actuated. ;CONSTITUTION: A catering case 1 so far kept in hot insulation or cold insulation state is carried to the front of a receiving box 6, and the side plate 3 of the case 1 is detached. Then, the open/close door 7 of the box 6 is opened and the catering case 1 is inserted in the box 6 for placement on a shelf inside. The catering case 1 is pushed until the open side thereof comes in close contact with a cooling and heating device 11 located deep in the box 6. As a result, a projection 4a or 4b formed at the open side of the catering case 1 presses and turns on one of the pushbutton switches 12a and 12b of the device 11. In the case of a catering case 1A for cooling, cooling operation mode is set automatically, while heating operation mode is automatically set in the case of a catering case 1B for heating.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
