DWELLING PRESSURE TYPE DEEP SEA BOTTOM MUD SAMPLE SAMPLING EQUIPMENT

PURPOSE: To enable a certain amount of mud sample to be sampled and accommodated from a sea bottom while maintaining the same pressure as a pressure of the sea bottom for investigation and research of a micro-organism which exists within a mud at the sea bottom of the deep sea. ;CONSTITUTION: A title item consists of a supply chamber 1 which supplies a sampled certain amount of mud sample and where a supply port 3 is formed on the upper surface and a tubular body with a storage chamber 2 for accommodating under a certain pressure, an outer cylinder 5 with an opening 6 which matches the supply port 3 is provided at an outer periphery of the supply chamber 1 so that it can be rotated, a push-in bar 8 is fitted to an edge part of the supply chamber 1, and then an accumulator for maintaining a pressure within the storage chamber 2 to be constant is provided at an edge part of the storage chamber 2, thus enabling a certain amount of mud sample which is supplied into the supply chamber 1 to be stored within the storage chamber 2 by the push-in bar 8 and the same pressure as a sea bottom pressure to be maintained.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
