PRODUCTION OF FORGED GEAR MADE OF AL-SI ALLOY FORMED WITH FORGED TOOTH PROFILE SURFACE USABLE AS TOOTH PROFILE SURFACE OF PRODUCT GEAR

摘要

PURPOSE: To produce the gear having the tooth profile surface of the product by subjecting rapidly solidified Al-Si alloy powder to hot forging by and under a specific die and conditions. ;CONSTITUTION: The rapidly solidified Al-Si alloy powder is used as raw material powder. The plane shapes and plane sizes of the green compact for the gear, the die cavity of the die for working, and the outer peripheral surface of a punch are set substantially equal to the plane shape and size of the product gear. The hot forging is executed under the conditions of the heating temps. of the green compact and the die for working specified respectively to 300°C to the recrystallization temp. of the powder and 100°C to the recrystallization temp. of the powder. The gear formed with the as cast tooth profile surface which can be practically used substantially as it is as the tooth profile surface of the product gear 15 produced in this way.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
