PURPOSE: To properly transfer cargo oil in a tank to a tank free from any flaw during the occurrence of a broken hole by disposing cargo oil tanks one in each space between a pair of the right and left ship side ballast tanks of a ship, partitioning each cargo oil tank into upper and lower compartments by a horizontal partition wall, and providing a remote controllable partition wall valve. ;CONSTITUTION: A central line cargo oil tank is disposed between ship side ballast tanks, and the cargo oil tank is partitioned into upper and lower cargo oil tanks 7 and 1 by a horizontal partition wall 8. The horizontal partition wall 8 is built in a level lower than a level at which the bottom cargo oil pressure of the lower cargo oil tank is made equal to a sea water pressure exerted in a ship bottom in a minimum draft (d) state in which cargo oil 06 is loaded. When a broken hole 02 is formed in the lower cargo oil tank 1, a cargo oil surface 13 is raised by means of the press pressure of sea water. In which case, when a remote controllable partition valve 11 installed in the vicinity of the horizontal partition wall 8 is opened, cargo oil 06 is caused to flow in the direction of an arrow mark 14 and, in order, to the adjoining lower cargo tank 1. Inflow of sea water is stopped in a place where the pushing pressure of sea water is balanced with the liquid pressure of a cargo oil level 13 in the lower tank 1.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
