PURPOSE:The titled coating useful for heating devices, etc., having high-temperature heat resistance, heat insulating properties, and corrosion resistance, wherein a primer coating compound comprising a titanate, a silicone resin binder, and a rust preventive and a top coating compound are applied to a substrate. CONSTITUTION:(A) A primer coating compound comprising (i) a titanate (e.g., potassium titanate) shown by the formula I or formula II (M is alkali metal; L is alkaline earth metal; n is =8 positive integer), (ii) a silicone resin binder (e.g., polyacryloxyalkylalkoxysilane binder), and (iii) a rust preventive (e.g., azelaic acid) is applied to a substrate such as a heating device, etc. twice or more times, and (B) a topcoating compound comprising the components i and ii is applied to the coated surface preferably twice or more times. Preferably the coated part is further covered with cloth or nonwoven fabric under pressure (taping), and coated with the component B. The components A and B may be blended with an inorganic filler, a colorant, and an organic solvent.
