MANUFACTURE OF LAMINATED CHAIN SAW GUIDE BAR AND LAMINATED CHAIN SAW GUIDE BAR

PURPOSE: To provide a chain saw guide bar which can be easily manufactured and is of a sufficient strength. ;CONSTITUTION: The chain saw guide bar 18 comprises a pair of outer laminate constituent members 42a, 42b and a wire structural body 44 arranged between the members 42a, 42b. The wire structural body 44 sections an interface between the constituent members 42a, 42b and at the same time, defines an internal cavity of the wire structural body 44. Further, the wire structural body 44 has a profile of almost the same shape as the constituent members 42a, 42b but is positioned inwardly spaced as specified from the edge boundary with the constituent members 42a, 42b. This specified space corresponds to the depth of a groove 20 for a chain saw. When the constituent members 42a, 42b are assembled with the wire structural body 44, the cavity formed by sectioning the wire structural body 44 is filled with an adhesive material. When it is cured, the adhesive material swells and adheres to the opposite inner face to the constituent members 42a, 42b. After it is cured, the adhesive material becomes a core laminate constituent member 40.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO
