PURPOSE: To reduce the thickness of a ribbon-form reinforcement layer and the volume of air banks therein, and to improve the high-speed durability of a tire, by forming the cross section form of a reinforcement cord to which a rubber coating is applied by a flat heat contractile organic monofilament cord longer in the width direction. ;CONSTITUTION: A reinforcement cord 1 to compose a ribbon-form reinforcement layer 2 to which a rubber coating is applied is formed of a flat heat contractile organic monofilament cord whose cross section form is longer in the width direction. As a result, the thickness of the ribbon-form reinforcement layer 2 can be made thin, the volume of air banks 4 can be reduced in a simple overlapping winding condition, a specific work process number is made unnecessary, and the high-speed durability of a tire can be improved.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
