The lead-harrow combines a plank-tow, harrow and after-plane in one single tool, as the plank-tow consists of at least two towing boards (1,2) arranged one after the other and consisting of unevenly appointed angle irons with upturned corner edges, and with the longest spur turned forward and slanting downward. The type of harrow used is of no importance. It is followed up by an after-plane (5,) in the form of an angle iron, which is arranged with the edge of the iron pointing downwards and the longest spur slanted forward and upwards, whilst the shortest spur, or web, has a series of blades or spikes (6) slanted in the direction of the work in progress. The after-plane can pivot in its vertical axis, and the work surface is plied in the direction of work with the help of springs between the after-plane (5) and the lead harrow's frame (4).IMAGE
