Method for detection of a potentially harmful transformation of an organism's cells. The method comprises a determination of an indicator for the syndecan levels in a sample of biological material from the organism and a comparison of this determined syndecan indicator with a reference indicator for the syndecan levels in a biological reference material of the same type.
