A method for detecting a potentially detrimental transformation of cells of anorganism. The method comprisesdetermining syndecan content indicator from a sample of biological materialfrom the organism, and, comparing the determined syndecancontent indicator with a reference syndecan content indicator from a referencebiological material of the same type.
