METHOD FOR PRESERVING CORN MAIZE BY DISREGARDING ARTIFICIAL DRYING

Corn can be preserved in moist, rather than high energy demanding artificially dried state, by adding 4-14 vol.% of the final total of a concentrate. This contains 8-11 vol.% ammonia, 56-65 vol.% of coarse corn-meal, 24-33 vol.% water and opt. 4-12 vol.% carbonide.The final mix is kept under cools of pref. in a silo. - Two most suitable examples are: 35-40 vol.% (25%) ammonia soln., 60-65 vol.% coarse meal, or 35-40 vol.% (25% ammonia soln., 50-60 vol.% coarse meal and 4-12 vol.% carbonate.
