The flow of e.g. bottles or tins is moved by a transporter which includes exchange valves extending in the flow direction (T) and pivotal at right angles on shafts, providing two distinct positions. The transporter has two endless transporter chains (1) running over chain wheels (2) fitted on spindles (3). Transporter chains are interconnected by spindles (4) over which transporter shoes (5) slide, and which accommodate articles (6). An overflow plate (8) includes rollers (9) which are driven in synchronism with chains (1) and a transporter (7).
