The table lifting mechanism includes two shears (1, 2) with hinge pins at right angles to each other. Both shear legs are interconnected by a U-shaped base section (3). An L-shaped top section (4) can be moved parallel to the base. The shears each have two arms (6, 7)-(8, 9) interconnected by hinge pins (10, 11). The free end sof the arms are hinge connected with the base and top section.
