The present invention provides polypeptide compounds which are two forms of the porcine growth hormone releasing factor (pGRF) precursor and the pGRF leader peptide, and a new form of mature pGRF. The invention also provides DNA compounds encoding these polypeptide compounds and mature pGRF, pharmaceutical compositions and methods for the inducement of growth hormone release.
