Stable electrolytes for oxygen activators, made of zirconium dioxide stabilised with metal oxides, characterised in that it contains38-95% by weight of zirconium dioxide, 0.5-8% by weight of yttrium oxide, 0-5% by weight of magnesium oxide, and 2-50% by weight of α aluminium oxide.2. Method for manufacturing stable electrolytes for oxygen activators, characterised in that it consists of 38-95% by weight of previously ground zirconium dioxide, 0.5-8% by weight of yttrium oxide, 0-5% of magnesium oxide and 2-50% of α type aluminium oxide, and the obtained mixture is roasted in the oxidising atmosphere, preferably air, at temperature of 1,300-1,550 K, for 0.25-1.0 hour and ground to obtain average grain size of 1-4 microns and then baked in the oxidising atmosphere, preferably air, at temperature of 1,870-2,000 K for 0.5-6.0 hours.
