METHOD AND DEVICE FOR COMPOSTING KITCHEN AND GARDEN WASTE UNDER PLANTING A COMPOST CHAMBER

A method of composting kitchen and garden waste and device for implementing this method, the method envisaging in a first stage first the layered introduction of the compostable waste into one of at least two chambers of a composting box, whereupon, in a second stage, when the filling height is reached, a covering layer in the form of a humus layer of approximately 5 to 8 cm is introduced and watered in, followed by the third stage of the immediate planting of the filled chamber of this device which in detail is characterised by a composting and planting box, subdivided by partitions into two or more chambers of the same geometrical cross-section and in the form and size of a garden bed, with a bottom having openings for the exchange of soil bacteria and with a cover for the individual chambers, the side walls and the partition of the box having, for the layered filling in each case of a chamber with waste and alternately with earth and other substances as well as a final covering humus layer at the top, a height of only 0.4 to 0.5 m.
