摘要
23443-373ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREDisclosed is a process for bonding a thermoplasticpolyphenylene ether (PPE) containing polymer and a rubber bycovulcanization, the process comprising the steps of heating andcovulcanizing the PPE-containing polymer and the rubber. Therubber comprises: (a) 100 parts by weight of a rubber componentcomprising 100-20 wt.% of an EP(D)M rubber and 0.80 wt.% of astyrene-butadiene rubber obtained by emulsion polymerization, (b)100-300 parts by weight of loading material, (c) 1-10 parts byweight of a peroxide vulcanization agent, and (d) 0.5-4 parts byweight of a vulcanization activator. The PPE-containing polymermay contain, in addition to the polyphenylene ether, up to 20 partsby weight (per 100 parts of PPE) of polyalkenylene and/or up to100 parts by weight (per 100 parts of PPE) of a styrene polymer. The PPE-containing polymer and the rubber can be permanentlybonded. The product can take various shapes, such as boards, tubes, and so on.
