ABSTRACTThe printing machine is composed of an in-directly printing printing unit , and a sheet trans-port device , composed solely of drums, and of a following intaglio printing unit. The indirectly printing printing unit has twointeracting blanket cylinders , each of which isinked with several colors by several plate cylinders. The sheets are passed onto one of theblanket cylinders from a carry over drum and,after passing through the nip between two blanket cylin-ders , thereby being printed on both sides, aretaken over by a transfer drum of the sheet transportdevice. The circumferential region which is locatedbetween the carry-over drum and transfer drumand over which the sheet passes extends over at most180°, preferably less than 150°, so that that freecircumferential region of this blanket cylinder notcovered by the sheet is available for accommodatingseveral plate cylinders.
