18PROPHYLACTIC SHEATH WITH AUGMENTED BORDERABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREThin-walled, high-strength prophylactic sheathsfabricated from ealstomeric polymer materials are augmentedalong the border at the open end with a resilient materialhaving a 100% tensile modulus substantially lower,preferably lower by at least about 75%, than that of thesheath material. This facilitates the rolling of the edgeand stretching of the sheaths for purposes of applicationwithout compromising the high degree of sensitivity in termsof heat and sensation transmission associated with the thin-walled sheaths themselves.A18/12124-1F
