ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE:The invention concerns a process and an equipmentfor pretreatment of cellulosic chip-formed raw-material byimpregnation. In the process, first a vacuum treatment iscarried out withou preceeding moistening treatment, and assoon as possible after the vacuum treatment penetration, iscarried out with a solution of chemicals or with water atthe atmospheric or a higher solution pressure. In this waythe fiber cavities can be filled optimally, which promotes auniform and adequate diffusion of the solution into thefiber walls significantly. The process can be carried out,e.g., in a device which comprises a tank for the treatmentof the raw-material and therein a feed opening for thesolution as well as an opening for removal of the raw-material, which opening communicates preferably with areception tank, where the atmospheric or a higher pressureprevails.
