Tubular channels extend along opposed transversetop edges of the front and back walls. The channels define an openmouth for the bag. Each of the channels has openings at theopposite ends of the top edges of the bag. A tape extends througheach of the channels. One of the ends of each of the tape isattached to the opposite side edges of the bag beneath the openingsin the channels and the other end of the tape extends through therespective opening at the other ends of the channels so that thetapes cross in their respective channels, whereby when the tapes arepulled, the top of the bag is drawn tightly together. A method offorming this draw tape bag is also disclosed.
