ABSTRACTA device for determining the probability ofdeath of a cardiovascular patient, comprising:(a) an electrocardiograph adapted to deliver asignal in the form of an electrical waveform containinginformation about the condition of the patient's heart;(b) a waveform recognition and measurementdevice adapted to analyze said waveform and generateoutput based on said analysis; and(c) a computer adapted to receive said outputand calculate a numerical value representing saidprobability based on said output.
