This invention relates to a method of the immunoassay of complete human osteocalcin in a human specimen by using an antibody which has a recognition site in the amino acid sequence domain at positions 1 to 20 on the N-terminal side of human osteocalcin and another antibody which has a recognition site in the amino acid sequence domain at positions 36 to 49 on the C-terminal side of said osteocalcin, and to the reagents and kit used therefor. The invention also relates to a method of the immunoassay of the total amount of the complete human osteocalcin and fragments thereof in a human specimen by using said antibody, and to the reagents and kit used therefor. The invention further relates to monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies used in said assay, a method of producing these antibodies, and the applications thereof.
