LEAN ACID GAS ENRICHMENT WITH SELECTIVE HINDERED AMINES

Lean acid gas consisting essentially of H2S and CO2 wherein the H2S content is less than about 20 % by volume and the balance is essentially CO2 can be enriched by use of selective hindered amines to produce an acid gas containing about 20-80 % H2S which can then be treated in a Claus plant.
