Describes a cerumen trap for hearing aids of the type comprising a) a first portion (6) a space (8) adapted to acoustic communication an interior part of said hearing aid with the external auditory canal of the ear of the user, and b) means (7) to prevent earwax having entered said space (8) can be output to said inner part (3). The trap is characterized in that said output inhibiting means comprises at least one element or piston-shaped valve member (7), which is adapted by relative movement between itself and the first part (6) containing said space (8) so as to enter said space (8) in a first direction away from said interior part of said hearing aid, and to leave said space (8) in the opposite direction, thereby restoring acoustic communication between said interior part and said space (8). In this way, the wax (15) that has accumulated in the space (8) communicating with the user's ear canal may be expelled without using external means such as pipe cleaners or similar, and without risking damage to the internal parts of the hearing aid.
