The invention relates to a longitudinal beam for the frame of a belt conveyor device, with two T-grooves (1, 2) extending over the entire length which are arranged in an opposite and outwardly open manner and which are separated by a central web (3). It is to be possible with such longitudinal beams (4) to form a very light, simple, economical and moreover stable frame. The longitudinal beams (4) are in this connection to make possible further different frame forms.
