The vacuum belt conveyor comprises a toothed belt (1) fitted in a flat slot in a plastic slide guide (3) which is installed on a longitudinal beam (4), the length of which corresponds basically to the conveyor line, and which together with a parallel, spaced away longitudinal beam forms a double belt strand (5). Several vacuum sections (7) are created by transverse connecting walls (6) which are located between the longitudinal beams, wherein the vacuum sections are sealed at the bottom and connected to a vacuum source.
