2.1 The competition for access by stations connected to a bus system should occur independently of the transmission of information and at the same time as this transmission. Before the beginning of the transmission of information items, the order in which the stations are allowed to transmit should already be defined. This is intended to save time when there are many requests. 2.2 In the stations (S1 - Sn), transmitting sequence memories are provided in which the addresses of stations (S1 - Sn) with access authorisation are successively stored. These are used for forming transmission queues. When a station detects its own address when reading out the transmitting sequence memory it can begin to transmit the information. 2.3 Since the competition for access occurs independently of the transmission of information, time can be saved particularly in the case where there are many requests because the transmission of information and the competition for access can occur at the same time.
