In a composition for the manufacture of a material exhibiting dielectric or pyroelectric characteristics, fine particles with a diameter not exceeding 1 mum, together with a ceramic powder which will serve to form a matrix surrounding the fine particles, are dispersed in a dispersion medium with an antioxidant effect having a surface tension not exceeding x 10-6 N / mm and a dielectric constant 6 and, after elimination of the dispersion medium, said fine particles are transformed into a sinterable mixture.
