A method for learning microsurgical operation techniques provides that the instructor carries out the operation technique to be learned on an operation model, the operation field being viewed by the instructor through a microscope and recorded by at least one video camera whose signals are represented on a large projection screen via a monitor or via a video projector. In order to instruct a plurality of trainees, a multiplace system is provided, each trainee also being assigned an identical operation model with a microscope and at least one video camera, and the signals generated by the video camera being fed via lines to a distributor which represents the signals of each video camera of each trainee on a multifield monitor which is observed by the instructor, and it being the case, furthermore, that there is a voice connection between the trainee and the instructor.
